Southerly winds are expected to increase sustained near 20 mph gusting over 30 mph for Wednesday afternoon throughout the Red River Valley and much of the area. Relative humidity values are also expected to remain in the teens to twenties percent. In combination with wind, low humidity, and such dry fall conditions, fire conditions will reach critical to near critical fire weather conditions. Fire weather watches are set in place across Minnesota likely to upgrade to Red flag warnings Wednesday 10/16/2024.
