Near record warmth followed by cooler weather, then snow

It’s been a MILD day with near record warm temps across the area today.  Take a look at these early afternoon temps!!!

Warmer than normal temps will continue through the end of the week.   Following that, we start to go into the “stormier” part of the LRC cycle.   Our first chance of snow will enter the area this weekend into Monday with a chance for some light snow.  Here is a look at a few models of snow total possibilities through Monday:

Timing of the snow is a bit in question….does it arrive Sunday or Monday?   We will be monitoring this system throughout this week.  Regardless, there appears to be quite a bit of wind with it.  That means, even though snow totals don’t appear to be that much, it only takes a few inches to produce tricky travel when the winds are supposed to be strong…..stay tuned
