A day three marginal and slight risk (level 1 and 2) for isolated to scattered severe storms has been issued for this Wednesday (8/28/24) evening and Wednesday night. As an expected cold front sweeps across North Dakota Wednesday into Wednesday night, some thunderstorms will likely develop along the front. The environment in which these storms would form would support the potential of damaging wind gusts of 60+ mph and large hail upwards of ping-pong ball size.
