Tornado Watch In Minnesota Today

A tornado watch has been issued until 8:00 pm for most of Minnesota today (6/18/24). As a cold front moves across Minnesota strong to severe storms that may be capable of producing a few tornadoes will likely develop along the front. Not all storms are going to be warned. Still, conditions across the state support the development of tornadoes and severe storms capable of producing strong wind gusts upwards of 70 mph or stronger and hail up to two inches in diameter. For Hubbard, Wadena, Otter Tail, Becker, and Grant counties the window for severe weather looks to be early around the 2:00 pm through 5:00 pm timeframe later as you track further east into Minnesota.
